we say goodbye to farm life (for a while).

and hello to city life.

jeremiah and i are once again moving into a new stage of life.

we were abundantly blessed with an amazing job opportunity for him in fredericksburg.

so we have packed the boxes and scrubbed the floors and gathered the animals.

it's time to head into the next bend in the road.

happened this weekend.

we received our first eggs.

how do i explain the feeling?

i imagine it is a faint glimpse of what giving birth to a child must feel like.

such pride.

such joy.

such awe at the little miracle before you.

 a visit to my brother's house yesterday.

mom & i got to meet his rhode island reds and leghorns.

we also did a little shooting...
which was both fun (when i was shooting)
 and nerve-racking (when mom was shooting - as evidenced by my brother's face in last photo).

at the parents' abode for the week.
