jeremiah and i celebrated three years of marriage yesterday.
today as i knelt in my garden, digging in the soil, i thought of how three years ago i walked right through that very spot to meet my love at the altar.
as i walked in my wedding dress, barefoot, down that green hill could i ever have imagined myself years later on bent knee, hands covered in dirt, planting a garden in that very place?
it's amazing the paths that life takes.

today has been a good one.
this morning i was blessed to able to watch my older brother be sworn in as an officer of the court.
it was a very sweet and proud moment for my entire family.
this afternoon i took in an orphaned bunny.
right now "beatrix" is hopping around in her little cage.
i know the chances of her (or him) surviving are slim but i'm not giving up.

today i went out and picked mulberries fresh from our tree in the front yard.
then i threw them into some waffle batter.
they tasted very similar to blueberries once cooked. tomorrow i'm trying them in oatmeal.
i have always thought mulberries looked delicious whenever i saw them hanging black and ripe from the tree.
once i learned that in fact they were edible, it was so satisfying to finally go pick a nice ripe one and eat it!
i highly recommend trying a few if you stumble upon a mulberry bush/tree anytime soon.
i plan on stocking up on mulberries (it's free fruit!)...freezing a few bags, maybe trying to make some jam, and definitely making some more baked goods.

dinner with some dear friends.
enjoyed a very big bonfire thanks to a large mass of bamboo, limbs and leaves we compiled over the past few months.
the second photo displays the amazing (and slightly frightening) glow from the fire.
-----
so enjoyed talking to you, sarah.
be present in atlanta.
i hope to see you soon!

for the wedding this past weekend, i did my first braided crown.
i followed this tutorial although one day i would love to be able to do this one as well.
it wasn't perfect but i was pretty happy with the end result and plan to wear this hairstyle a lot more (even with all the hairpins and hairspray).

jeremiah's aunt got hitched this past weekend at the [amazing] wild onion ranch in austin.
it was by far one of the most beautiful weddings i have attended!
the location was spectacular and inspiring...full of eye candy for me!
i was a little overwhelmed at first because i wanted to take pictures of everything.
but i managed to relax and just enjoy a special evening in a beautiful place.
